knit stitch

Recommended Posts

Are you working in garter stitch (knitting each row) or stocking stitch (alternating knit and purl rows)?

If you are working in garter stitch this will produce a fabric that is identical on each side and you will see horizontal lines of bumps.

If you are working in stocking stitch one side of the fabric will have the horizontal lines of bumps and the other (this is the wrong side [WS]) and the other side will have lines of V shapes (this is the sight side [RS]).

If that doesn't help - do you have a picture you can post for me to take a peek at?
