enlarging patterns

Recommended Posts

Hello margjean welcome to the forum, if I wamt my project to be larger I usually use a bigger size needle and thicker yarn. You are sure to get better advice from another member, I am a crocheting person more than knitting . See how it goes. Linda

If you are good at maths you could check out tension for number of sts = 10cms then multiply by width of back/sides for your size.  Obviously if the armholes are shaped this will make a difference but then again larger sizes usually have larger armholes.

It could be trail and error so use some cheap yarn to perhaps try out a side.

I find the sizes are too small too and designers are missing a gap in the market for us cuddly people.

Hope you manage to get it sorted
