    AUTUMN keeper and fruit

Here is a box I recycled for the September Swaps. Linda set the theme in All Crafts - autumn colours but made to hold something. I covered it with autumn leaves paper, and embellished it with a 3D decoupage of a crysanthemum. Filled the compartments with autumn-shaded notions. I also had to crochet a fruitbowl, but since the fruit themselves weren't important, I made a fruity banner to go inside!

Made some origami boxes from the stiffer covers of craft magazines I was clearing out. Topped them with some simple folded butterflies from magazine pages I had hoarded because they looked useful.
  4. Here are the things I made for the RECYCLING theme in the CB swaps for June past: one of the overseas players made SO MUCH I really had to make a bit of an extra effort for her!! SO- I made a kitchen blackboard from the cover of a used spiral folder (I should have kept the spiral on too. as a hanger with a folksy element -but dammit! - I didn't!) with a stick-on blackboard surface Necklace and earrings with ceramic beads and paperclips Bangles - crocheted embroidery floss round empty DST rings. And if you wish to see who made all the impressive STUFF - as well as the other fabulously recycled items from the players, pop over to the JUNE SWAPS thread: https://www.crafts-beautiful.com/forums/topic/52490-june-swaps-closed-pics-added/ where all is revealed !!
  5. An ALL CRAFTS holiday challenge! WHAT - or indeed HOW MANY things - can you make from an old shirt? Beg, borrow or steal one, or even buy one at a Charity Shop - and then let rip! From Cards - to Infinity! Love to see your makes! Lots of time!

    SHELVES from Cutlery Tray

I LOVE wood. But I could never eat a whole one. (cleverly adapted phrase or saying there - did you notice?) And I can't go by these cutlery trays when I find one. I found three, eady to ambush me, and one packet of metal rings and hooks , plus a coloured bootlace later- here is a shelf I made for DD from one of them. (I could have decoupatched it too, but didn't.) (Sticky fixers at back base help stability)
