    Get my free patterns

Hi everyone sorry I have removed my free patterns over copyright issues. The issues have been resolved and the patterns are back on for free.
  2. I decided to challenge myself and knit the lace back top from Let's Knit Issue 95 (August). It has a lace pattern over 4 rows (WS purl), but it has to be decreased to shape the armholes. The last 8 rows have given me a bigger headache than the previous 30cms. I've even taken to drawing myself out a sort of chart, which has helped a little bit. Any top tips before I lose any remaining shreds of sanity?

    Scuba Fabric

Hi, I get very excited by innovation in fabric technology. It is moving very rapidly, especially in the field of sports wear and practical outerwear clothing manufacture. One of these relatively new fabrics which has made its way through the production process and is now both available to the home sewist and cheap enough to be affordable is Scuba. So I purchased some fabric a few weeks ago and made this Bodycon dress in Red Scuba, wrote a blog on how I did it here. What do you think?
  5. I'm teaching myself to crochet using Issue 68 of the magazine by I'm struggling with the flower headband pattern. When making the headband itself Rows 3 and 4 seem to increase the number of stitches each time, with no decreasing. Row 3 is miss stitch, dc, miss stitch, (1tr, 1ch, 1tr, 1ch, 1tr) into one stitch and Row 4 is the same but with a different starting point. No matter how I try to read it I'm adding stitches all the time. Is there an error in the pattern and one row is supposed to have decreases in it somewhere? Thanks for your help.

    Pattern help please

Hello, I'm struggling with a pattern from the "Winter Warmers" lift-out in the Let's Knit magazine. I'm trying to knit the Fun Fair chevron patterned slouchy hat from Patons (leaflet 3954) on page 16. I'm stuck on round three. Changing colours to yarn B. The two rounds prior to this, after first creating a k1, p1, rib, is: Round 1: k to end inc four sts evenly across rnd. 64 sts (OK) Round 2: *k3, (yfwd) twice, k1, rep from * to end (OK) Change to yarn B Round 3: *K1BW, k1, wyib sl 1 pwise, drop yfwds from prev rnd, k1, rep from * to end Where K1BW = insert RH needle into next st two rows below, k this st, k next st on LH needle, pass pulled loop over the top of this st and off needle], k1, wyib sl 1 pwise, drop yfwds from previous round This is where I'm stuck - could someone try stepping me through K1BW please? Hopefully that will make the rest of round 3 easier, because at the moment I think I must be doing the first bit wrong so the rest isn't correct/possible either. Thank you!!! Happy knitting :-) pip

    Printing instructions

What size printer paper is needed for printing patterns such as the Vintage Slip Sewing pattern by Jo Barnfield? My printer would not print on 8.5 x 11 or 8.5 x 14, had to go to 11 x 14 but seemed like such a waste of paper. New to site, first post, thank you for your help!

    Christmas Jumper

Afternoon all, I'm new to knitting so thought this would be the ideal place to ask questions... I'm starting this http://action.peta.org.uk/ea-action/action?ea.client.id=5&ea.campaign.id=23931 before christmas, I'm up to around 30 rows but still such a tiny ammount, in a little over a week. How long would this take a seasoned knitter? Thanks for any help!

    Pattern Alteration Advice please.

Hello all, I am hoping for some help here. I love a recent pattern I received with my subscription of Sew. It's K2444. I made the dress as intended for my daughter and it's lovely. For myself (because I'm an odd shape ) I would like to change the waistline to an empire line. I haven't worn a dress in years because I have a full bust and slim waist and hips, so dresses either hang right off my chest making me look larger than I am or are too tight around my bust, so I have worn separates for so long and would love this little dress. Currently the waistband sits on your natural waist. I would like to change it to an empire line and am not sure how to go about it. I have sewn for a number of years but never really made any major alterations to a pattern and I'm a little daunted. Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you in advance.
