    Newbie - first ever forum

I thought I would post on here to say hello to everyone and introduce myself. 'Hello!' My name is Tamsin and this is the first forum I have ever joined. I'm from Cheshire and have been sewing, cutting and sticking since I was big enough to stick sequins on my Barbie's clothes. I'm really into anything that's practical and love having a go at new things but my main focus is dressmaking, patterndrafting and cutting and machine embroidery. I'm really looking forward to having other sewers to share ideas and discussions with! x

Hello everyone! Fluff'n'Tuff here, although you can just call me Fluff (or Tuff) =^.^= I'm 17 living in Oxfordshire and I've just gotten back in knitting after about 8 years or something.. So I've been spending today looking at different needles and wools for my first project! =D Any advice would be very appreciated =3 The main reason I decided to get back into knitting was discovering the whole yarn bombing thing, that really caught my eye xD Although it is a very nice hobby to have generally =)

  13. Goodenough

    Hello from Illinois, USA

Hello! I'm a new subscriber and have fallen in love with the Let's Knit magazine. The patterns are so different from what I find in American magazines, and I love the smaller projects. I was thrilled with the crochet kit that accompanied the June issue (my first) and the timing was perfect as my boss has a new grandson. So I crocheted up the booties but made a few modifications to the pattern. I've been crocheting and knitting since I was 6, 50+ years now, taught by my grandmother and mother. I also sew and have made many garments for myself and others as well as 5 wedding gowns, sadly none for me. I quilt and embroider too. Don't know where I find time for all of this as I work full time as an accountant. I'm looking forward to getting to know you all and learn a thing or two from you too. The town I live in is on the Mississippi River, near St. Louis, which is now flooding due to the tremendous amount of rain we have gotten this spring. Bad storms moved through last evening but thankfully no one was hurt. I live a ways from the river on the bluffs so no flooding in my neighborhood. June aka Goodenough
