    Subjects for poems

What sort of poems inspire you......I have been asked to write a series of poems for someone locally...what inspireS you to read it again? Just want to know what people like to read in a poem..What makes you ponder the contents, or perhaps makes you smile...or even copy it to send to a friend..... Would love to know your general thoughts as have often put poems on here to do with crafts or the forum in the past........would love Your ideas/thoughts on this....and see what I can do. Inspire me to write a verse or two Here is one for all of you. Baking bread, or painting sea Or read a verse to you from me. What is your favourite craft today? Winning ideas to give away? Or keeping secrets how to make That wonderful hat for heavens sake. Or maybe bags with quilting care To show us all, your sewing share. That's all for now, I have to go To write a verse or two you know..........MARY

    Busy Bee Weekend

Hello! After a weekend of some pretty dubious weather and a man who had a Saturday which had Rugby, Horse Derby, Formula 1 and Football I managed to get quite a few makes done so thought I'd upload my first pics to the forum. The childrens dress is a pattern I drafted myself and made up in an Amy Butler fabric, the dress is a Colette pattern in Liberty Tana Lawn. I had a big chunk of fabric left over so used a culottes pattern I'd drafted to make them up too. I love the ditsy print but think as a dress it looks a bit maternity especially as it's really loose fitting. Happy with the makes overall but messed up putting in the zip on the culottes and ended up with a sort of tuck - zips are not my strongest point and I find the foot for putting them in quite clumsy. Does anyone have any tips? Hope everyone else got to make some nice things too! x
