    Let's Knit Bag Challenge winner!

It's time everybody - your submissions are in and we've deliberated long and hard to choose our favourite bag. There were loads of brilliant ideas, as always, and we've loved seeing them all! But in the end it just had to be the incredible Scotties bag by KnittingQueenUK! We loved the colourwork and the little dogs are so sweet! Congratulations, and make sure you message us your address so that we can send out your prize!
  2. Hi everyone - thanks for all your submissions, head over to the hall of fame to find out the winner!
  3. Hello everyone! It's been a little while since we had a knitty challenge on the forum, I do hope you're all ready for another! This time, we want you to knit (or crochet!) a bag - it can be any kind of bag you like, from a small drawstring pouch to a big colourful tote. And the winner will win a special prize from the LK yarn cupboard! Just post your entry below when you are finished - I can't wait to see what you come up with! Happy knitting, Amy
  4. These all look great so far guys! The challenge closes tomorrow, so get your submissions in!
  5. They all look beautiful! And do feel free to enter as many as you like!
  6. They all look great so far, ladies, keep them coming!
  7. Hello there knitters - it's time for another crafty challenge! So, the sun's out and we can't wait for the picnic season to begin! As you may have seen in the magazine, this month's challenge is to knit something you would take to a picnic. Scotch eggs are a personal favourite of mine, but go wild and get knitting all sorts of yummy treats! Are you a fan of good old fashioned picnics with lashings of ginger beer or do your picnics feature something a bit different? We can't wait to see what you'll come up with! The closing date will be 4th April, so get those needles out! Amy
  8. Hi Goose - of course!
  9. Hi everyone, Sorry you missed this challenge! Seeing as you are still interested in participating, I have extended the deadline to 8th May, so you have another month to get knitting! Remember, you can knit anything you like, so size is not an issue! Quick makes could just as easily win as complex ones. Happy knitting!
  10. Hi everyone, Thanks so much for all of the wonderful entries to this competition - it was amazing to see all the incredible designs you came up with. This challenge was a little different, as we also opened it up to all of our followers on Facebook and Twitter. Therefore I'm very happy to announce that the winner is Nicky Barfoot from Facebook! But special mentions also go to @LadyMoles on Twitter for her Space Invaders design... ... And Homecraft's own Maritrez for the adorable penguin! The challenge will be back to normal next time, so keep your eyes peeled for the next chance to win! Amy
  11. Hello everyone! Thanks so much for the brilliant designs, if only they all could have won! Check out the Hall of Fame to find out our winner. See you next time!
  12. Hi everyone, I hope you're all very well and that your Christmas knitting isn't getting too troublesome. Drum roll please... We have decided that for our next challenge, we want you to design your own cushion! We're looking for a simple square 30 x 30cm cushion, but other than that, it's up to you to decide whether to give it stripes or cables - or whether you design your own colourwork chart and use that! Let your imagination run wild. The closing date is 25th January, so you will have time to think about it once your Christmas knitting is over. We will also open the challenge up to our followers on Twitter and Facebook - but you lucky things get the sneak peek! We can't wait to see what you come up with! Get in touch if you have any questions. Happy knitting! Amy Edit 28th November: I'm rather excited to announce that the prize for this competition is over £200 worth of yarn and patterns! You can read more about it on our blog: http://www.letsknit.co.uk/blog/LK74-design-a-cushion-and-win-over-200-worth-of-prizes
  13. Hi everyone - these all look fantastic so far! The 30cm x 30cm rule is not too rigid, just as long as they are a standard-sized, square cushion. Keep the designs coming - I will be making a gallery on Facebook later today, make sure you check it out!
  14. Well, it's that time again - time to announce the winner of the Let's Knit winter hats challenge! We had some fantastic entries, and I'm delighted to say that our winner this time is newcomer Owlinstitches! Welcome to the forum - we loved all your entries, but in particular we loved this one... Perfect for Hallowe'en! You'll receive some goodies in the post fairly soon - make sure you message me your postal address so we can get them to the right place. Congratulations!

  18. Hello lovely crafters! After the amazing cute critters challenge, I'm excited to see what you all come up with next. This month, our theme is (drum roll ...) Winter Hats! Now that it's getting chilly, we've got to find ways to keep those ears warm. So whether it's a beanie, a flying helmet, or a big Russian-style number with earflaps and tassles, then post a picture in the thread and you could win our next bundle of knitty goodies! Happy knitting!

SOS! Run out of wool from issue 71 oct 2013

Hi Helen, I'm really sorry that you have run out of yarn! There was a technical fault at the manufacturers, and unfortunately some of the balls of Hollyhock have come out a bit short. If this hasn't been resolved already, then feel free to message me your address, and I'll be happy to pop some in the post for you. Amy
  24. Love the minions, Goose - Despicable Me is very popular in the LK office, and they're so tiny! Giddyknits, Ellie Belle is absolutely gorgeous, she looks so soft! Not long left now, everyone ...
