    Time-saving tips for knitting

Hi All We're currently working on our Christmas special issue of LK (shocking I know!) and I'm putting together a feature on time-saving tips for Christmas knitting. Now, as quite a few of you are well-seasoned knitters I thought who better to ask than our lovely forum members. So, if any of you have any time-saving tips - add them in a comment within this topic and grab the Christmas special issue (on sale 20 Sept) to see whether your tip made it in! Thanks for all your help. Best Regards Kerry
  3. Hi Knitters It's that time of the month again, where we ask you our Question of the Month to be published in our next issue of Let's Knit. So, without any further ado - answer our latest poll and pop a comment below this post and watch to see if your name and comment make it into next issue! Happy knitting! Kerry
  4. QUESTION OF THE MONTH Hi All I hope you've been enjoying the weather we've been having recently. I must admit I have been more than grateful for the occasional rain and thunderstorms that have been going on (being in the last trimester of my pregnancy they've been a welcome relief from the heatwave we've been having!) Right, question time.... Have you tried knitting with British yarns? If you have, what do you think of them? Do you have a particular type that you prefer? What have you made with your British yarns? If you haven't, is there a reason why? Do you think you will in the future? As always we love to hear from you, and your responses may be featured in the next issue of Let's Knit! Best Regards Kerry
  5. I'm sorry to hear of your bereavement, but it's good that knitting is helping you through it. I definitely agree that you can never have too much yarn! (Although my husband firmly disagrees with this!) Best Regards Kerry
  6. QUESTION OF THE MONTH Hi All It's question of the month time again, and this month it's all about the amount of knitting you're finding yourselves doing these days. So.... Are you knitting less now that summer's here? If yes, is there any particular reason? If no, what are you knitting? How many WIPs do you have on the go? As always, it's a pleasure to hear from you all - and look out for your answers in next month's issue! Happy knitting! Kerry
  7. Hi Everyone Where does the time fly? This month's question is all about lace knitting patterns How do you feel about them? Do you love them or hate them? Have you never tried one? Or are you addicted to lace knitting? We want to know! And as always, your reply might be mentioned in August's issue - so do let us know. Best Regards Kerry
  8. Don't forget everyone this challenge closes tomorrow! Get uploading those wonderful makes Thanks Kerry
  9. POST YOUR MAKES HERE Hi All I just thought I would add a topic here for any of you that would like to see your make in Let' Knit Teabreak, Net Natter. As you all probably know, we showcase three makes from a lovely forum members in each issue. If you would like to see your make in the next issue of Let's Knit - please add your makes to this thread. I look forward to seeing your makes! Best Regards Kerry
  10. QUESTION OF THE MONTH Hi All Sorry it's a bit late this month, it's a little bit busy at the LK office! So the question of the month is: Do you adapt patterns to suit your taste or shape? Do you feel nervous about amending patterns to flatter your particular shape or are you confident at taking a pattern and playing around with it so you know it will 'fit you like a glove'? All comments and posts are appreciated and of course may feature in the latest issue of Let's Knit. So let me know, after all, we love to hear from you! Best Regards Kerry
  11. Hi All Sorry for the late posting of this topic - I had a lovely week off work before Easter and so press week is fast approaching! This month we are interested to know if you upload your makes to social media websites If you do, which ones do you use? The ones we can think of are: Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Instagram, Flikr (if you can think of others be sure to let us know!) We look forward to hearing your thoughts. Keep on making (oh and if you'd like your makes added to our Teabreak pages, be sure to upload them into the forum, you could even PM me so I definitely see them!) 14. Hi All It's that time of the month again, where we ask you a question. This month's question is: Does anybody like felting yarns? If you do, what do you felt? Were you taught to felt, or did you teach yourself? As always we love to hear from you and what your likes and dislikes are. Have a lovely weekend, Kerry
  15. With the question of the month upon us, this is as good a time as any to introduce myself as the newest member of the Let's Knit editorial team. Hi! So, do any of you machine knit? If you do, how did you get into it? Do you prefer it to hand knitting? Is there specific types of knitting you only do on a machine? Let us know, we'd love to hear your answers. Thanks Kerry
