    CRAFTY CLEAROUT

I'm having a crafty clear out as I am currently at the place where I can't buy anymore card making stuff until I get rid of some. Luckily for me my little 11 year old cousin as caught my card making bug & has also persuaded her dad to let her have the spare room downstairs as her craft room like her big cousin!!! So all my little left overs from my many Lets Make Cards Magazines I am putting to one side for her. So even though I have no use for them, my little cousin Sophie will be over the moon. So nothing goes to waste. Upon thinking about this does anyone know of groups or clubs in the Hereford area where I can do crafty swaps?

A bit disappointed with the latest edition.

Hi I meant tha the whole magazine was featured on card techineques or a whole magazine on wedding stationery, not just a few pages.

A bit disappointed with the latest edition.

I feel the same. Looking back through my magazine's I have 3 Flower Fairies & 2 Beatrix Potter. I know they are different but it's just a bit boring. It also seems that it whenever Crafters Companion come out with a new CD, that Lets Make Cards issue a magazine the same. I would like to see the magazine on subjects like wedding invites etc, mens cards, anniversary cards. How to make waterfall cards, step-a-side cards, different tea bag folds, iris folding. Until a broke my foot a few weeks ago I had 4 unopened magazines. I just wasn't interested in opening them. I wont cancel my subscription but I am thinking of not renewing it.
  4. I'm so excited. I got the flight details for my visit to see my parents living in China. I can't wait to go now, we are going for just over 3 weeks. I just can't wait for May 2009 to come now. YIPPEE

    Sorry for my absence

Hi everyone I haven't been on here for what feels a very long time. I have been so busy these last few weeks that I just haven't had time to imput into anything on here. I have started going to the gym 2/3 times a week and every monday 9.30am till 4.30pm I study at my local tech college to get my AAT level 2 in Accounting. It's a course that is heavy on the head, and by the end of the day i'm ready for a rest, but I really enjoy doing all the accounts at work so I thought why not take it a step further. My boss managed to get me on this course for free cause I am over 24 (30!!!) so it's all government funded. I do have to pay for my material such as books and membership to the AAT but this will all be refunded. But the only thing is I can't afford to drop down to working 4 days a week so I am having to use my college day as a day off, and some weeks because of my rota I only get my colle day off, infact there is one spell were I work 15 days in a row which includes 2 days on college. But I've just got to get used to a new routine. So i haven't had much time for my card making let alone my laptop. I have a few empty spaces in my cabinet for my cards at work to so need to get on and make a batch of cards for to fill it up again, but there has been so many birthdays & work and family that I just haven't had time to do any. Well I have a day off tomorrow, so i'm gonna get on with the moutain off homework I have and hopefully make a batch of cards, and inbetween this do the housework!!!!! All the hard work will pay off in the end though.

  9. I would just like to make a public thank you to Torpenhow07, Shellyhope, Maggie50 & Bigbunniesuk for my lovely birthday cards that I received for my 30th Birthday on the 1st October. I had a fab day spending lunch out with my OH, parents; that came home from China & grandparents. Then on Thursday my parents & my OH took me to Mr Underhills in Ludlow which is a Mitchelin starred restaurant. I have never eaten in such a posh place before and never eaten such amazing food. It was £50 per head for 7 course's, of fabulous food. It was well worth the money, especially as I wasn't the one paying!!!! I was & have been very spoilt, and got a citizen watch with a mother of pearl face and a digital photo frame, some Swarovski Crystal earrings, necklace & brooch off my mother & father in law. Thank you again for making my birthday so special. My 20's where not spent very well but I have no got my life on a good track and plan on making up for what I missed out on in my 20's. Love you all guys Jo

Mum & Dad home from China Yippee!!!

Thanks for all the nice comments, I'll update you all when i've eaten the food, it's meant to be first class. I'll post some pictures of the restuarant and the course's. Looks like I might be the first person to visit a Mitchelin Star restuarant.
  11. I so happy at the moment. I picked my Mum & Dad up from terminal 5 at Hethrow yesterday. It's so nice to be able to cuddle them. I am able to chat to them online through Skype and see them through a webcam so it makes it easyier to cope without them. But when you are having a bad day I can't just pick up the phone and ring them or go round & see them. I have booked time off to spend with them while they are home, as it is my big 30th birthday on 1st October. They are taking me & my partner Ed to a Mitchelin Star restaurant in Ludlow. I really excited as I have never been to a posh restuarant before. Apparently the only serve one starter, main & sweet, so if I don't like it i'm in trouble. Has anyone else been to a mitchelin star restuarant before?
