    Blue Wave Wrap

I wanted to get a blanket finished so I could take the remaindered wool away on holiday to crochet granny-squares - but it is looking increasingly unlikely! So, I've picked up a formerly abandoned WIP - the Blue Wave Shawl. It's an easy 6-row patters (4 of them are garter stitch!) - which will be portable and easy for holiday knitting!

    'My Haven' shawl

Just embarked on a lace shawl with a pattern from Ravelry - if the picture won't view there are details on my blog The Knitting Assassin!

    Hello, fellow Knitters!

Hi, I've just signed up to this forum - so I'm still getting to grips with the logistic, please be patient with me! My sign-in name comes from one of the blogs I keep ( http://knittingassassin.blogspot.co.uk/ ) which was bestowed on me by a fellow blogging author because I like to write thriller fiction, and one or two of my short pieces featured the use of knitting and needles...! (don't know if I'm allowed to post web addresses here so, Mods, feel free to remove if applicable!) I've been a knitter since I was old enough to hold a pair of knitting needles - with a few odd lapses when other crafts/interests got in the the way! Since I took early retirement from working in a library, about 18 months ago, I've been able to devote more time to knitting (without the guilty feeling that I ought to be doing the housework, etc.!) My daughter is a fellow knitter; in fact, she's managed to get most of her friends knitting, even her new housemate (and housemate's Mum!) I'm looking forward to seeing what all of you get up to and sharing news on all matters tricotage! So, that's me 'cast on' then......! ;-p (sorry for the pun - bet I'm not the first one to say that!) Regards, knitting assassin
