  2. Hi guys and gals, I'm an intermediate/novice beader, I need a bit of help, I've been given the awesome task of making a jewellery set for my partners aunties civil partnership ceremony next year and after going through my numerous issues she has settled on the Deco Diva set as featured in issue 38 on page 12-14 and on the front page, after reading through the instructions on a number of occasions I'm still a little stumped on how to go about making it as I'm not very good at making something without seeing someone making or looking at pictures of it being made, I was wondering if any of you lovely peeps out there has made it and do you have any clips/pictures I can refer to, to help me. if anyone has any of these I would be very grateful, thanks guys :-)

When I first started I just had a couple of fabric bags for life with everything in then I bought a huge amount in one go so needed more storage. I went to Range (dunno if you have them in your area) and they had a 6 draw set for £20. Its plastic frame with clear draws so is ideal if you want to organise everything.
  4. Thanks Kate, though I would add the picture makes some of the beads look blue rather then green (they're red and green) I look forward to adding some more of my makes soon
  5. Hey guys here's my entry into this months challenge. I've used the free green and red beads from this months issue and done the necklace based on a design from issue 27 along with silver findings for the necklace and earrings and stretch elastic for the bracelet. I'm a big fan of MJ after only recently getting into jewellery making during the summer and I'm completely hooked.
  6. Hey guys new to the forum, Ive recently read a little bit about Macrame and about it being the new big thing. Was just wondering what the best techniques are and how easy it is? I've had a little go doing the basic 4 strand pattern but not sure what else to do.
