    Where is everybody?

It's half term in my neck of the woods too, so I actually have more time to come on here as I get the week off work Carolyn I'm so jealous of you seeing the Kaffe Fassett exhibition, I bet it was amazing!! Did you take any pics?

    Lavendar heart number 2

Thank you guys, mum did like it The fabric is from Hobbycraft, I got two fat quarter bundles for £20, same patterns in each bundle but one in blue and one in a pinky purple, so far have made 2 lavendar hearts, appliqued a girls t-shirt with a love heart and cut out 6 butterfllies to applique a canvas bag and haven't even made a dent in the amount of fabric!!!

    Pro Markers

Beautiful card Suga! I haven't done any cardmaking for ages but did love my Promarkers, although I was by no means a whizz with them lol!! I found it best just to have a play around with them, get used to how the colours work together and try a bit of shading. I made myself a shade card of all my colours on a piece of the card I used for stamping too, so that I could have a look and see what the colours look like when dry and find similar colours for shading. Look forward to seeing your future colouring in's

    Sewing for Sophia's room

I decided to make yet another lavendar heart hanger (think I'm getting a bit obsessed with them now ) to match some bunting I'd already started, for my daughter Sophia's room. I've been on a bit of a sewing roll today so decided to get the bunting finished too and think it looks rather cute if I do say so myself . Next on the to do list is a cushion in the same fabrics to sit on her bed, might end up putting that off a bit though as it's a bit adventurous for me . The Winnie the Pooh fabric is an old pair of curtains and the stripey blue and red on the back of the heart and bunting are an old quilt cover, so it hasn't even cost me much to make them TFL

    Lavendar heart number 2

Here is my second lavendar heart hanger, this one's for my mum as she liked the one I made for my nan so much Instead of a rosette, this time I decided to use my new button maker and attach a co-ordinating fabric button to each side to make it double sided . TFL

    My second sewing project

Well the lavendar arrived yesterday so I stuffed it straight away, ready to give to my nan when I see her tomorrow Here is an updated pic and I'll let you all know what she thought of it - you were right Carolyn, it smells lovely and I have plenty of lavendar left over so might make one for myself too
