Used punched hearts, lace trim and tartan ribbon to craft a Valentine's Day card

What you need...

• Blank, 10.5cm square
  
• Card: red, white
  
• Ribbon: gingham; satin, thin, red
  
• Lace trim
  
• Buttons, white
  
• Punch, heart
  
• Adhesives
  

instructions

1. Cover a blank, 10.5cm square, with red card. Tape lace across the front, 4cm from the base, securing one edge to the inside of the card. Create a small slit in the fold of the card to feed the other end of lace through and tape.
   

2. Fix gingham ribbon onto the lace, with a length of narrow red ribbon on top, fastening the ends to the inside of the blank, as before. Glue five white buttons along the centre of the red ribbon.
   

3. Punch five hearts from white card and fix to the gingham length with foam pads. Tie bows from gingham and red ribbon, then add to the card.
