overlocker spool attachment

Recommended Posts

I don't  know if anyone can help but recently I saw an ad in a magazine for an attachment for overlocker spools, so they can be used on an ordinary sewing machine.

I was wondering if anyone else saw this ad, as I have forgotten where I saw it, or the name of the company which it was from.

any help would be great.

Sorry but no I haven't heard of one either, I use a zig zag stitch on virtually a zero stitch and maximum width to bind seams. An overlock machine cuts the edge of the fabric as it sews and therefore I wouldn't have thought you could do this on an ordinary machine.

I've got an attachment which came with my sewing machine called a "cut & hem" which cuts the fabric on a seam as it hems and give an overlocked look to the seam using a zigzag stitch its this one here http://www.amazon.co.uk/OVERLOCKER-ATTACHMENT-BROTHER-DOMESTIC-MACHINES/dp/B00771BUMM/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1380786068&sr=8-1&keywords=cut+and+hem  Is this what you saw?
