A New Oldie.

Recommended Posts

Many thanks for the welcome back Rosie.

Still waiting to find out what is wrong with me because they have inserted a loop recorder in my chest similar to a pacemaker but they have also put me on Epileptic tablets.

Mind you I must not grumble because there are many folks far worse off than me.

Many thanks Maritrez for getting back to me.

I have used the yarn up on a cardigan for my granddaughter.

While looking for a pattern through my old stash that I could manoeuvre into what I wanted to do with the yarn I came across this photo below of my son taken 60 years ago.He is wearing a cardigan I had made for him out of a mans old jumper that I had unpicked.

Wool was rationed and on coupons then and we had to unpick a lot of things to recycle them by re-knitting them after winding the wool in hanks and washing it to take the kinks out of it, apart from making it clean to use.

I wonder how folks would go on today with having to do that chore?

Have a lovely day everyone.

Many thanks Maritrez . :-)

Wait till I tell him that you think he was adorable. :cheese:

He is bald now and will be 61 this year.

Nevertheless he is a good son and he married a lovely lass who has turned out to be a wonderful d-i-l. Plus them being parents to our super granddaughter.

I have much to be grateful for.
