Trim the tree with our cute Christmas decorations!

What you need...

• Coloured felt
  
• Toy stuffing or wadding scraps
  
• 6mm wide ribbon
  
• Sewing machine
  
• Gutermann thread
  
• Fabric glue
  
• 
  
• All seam allowances 10mm unless stated otherwise.

instructions

1. Christmas Cracker - 1 Use the template download provided to cut out one cracker shape, plus the zig zags and the ties. Cut a larger piece of felt plus a piece of wadding or thin stuffing to be slightly smaller than your cracker shape.
   
   2 Cut a 20cm length of ribbon and fold to create a loop. Place this on the larger piece of felt and pin or glue in place. Lay the wadding, then the cracker shape on top. Use fabric glue or pins to add the zig zag and ties details to the cracker shape. Pin through all layers.
   
   3 Use your machine to carefully sew around each piece, squishing all layers together. Change colour for each piece if you’d like to. Use a sharp pair of scissors to cut out the cracker shape, taking care not to cut the ribbon off. Trim any fluff or wadding sticking out.

2. Dala Horse - 1 Use the template to cut out one horse shape, the saddle and the reins. Cut a larger piece of felt plus a piece of wadding or thin stuffing to be slightly smaller than your horse shape.
   
   2 Pin a 20cm ribbon loop on the larger piece of felt, and lay the wadding, then the horse shape on top. Secure the details to the horse shape and pin through all layers as before. Machine sew carefully sew around each piece, then cut out the horse shape and trim any stray fluff or wadding.

3. Gift-Wrapped Present - 1 Cut out one main present shape, the cross ribbon and bow from coloured felt. Cut a larger piece of felt and a piece of wadding or stuffing as before. Attach a 20cm ribbon loop onto the larger piece of felt.
   
   2 Layer the wadding, then the present shape on top, glue or pin the details in place and pin through all layers. Sew around each piece. Cut out the present shape, avoiding the ribbon loop and trim around the edges if needed.
