If you love getting crafty at Christmas, this one’s for you…
We’ve teamed up with Europe’s leading photo printer, CEWE, and craft expert, The Crafty Lass, to explore how instant photos can make the most wonderful time of the year even more special.
To help spark your imagination, The Crafty Lass has shared five creative ways to use instant photos from CEWE Photostations to make your crafty festive creations truly personal and memorable.
From handmade photo baubles to picture-perfect wrapping touches, discover how your favourite memories can take centre stage in every detail this Christmas…
1 Christmas Card
CEWE
Use CEWE 6x4 templates to print your photo as a circle. Then, cut small leaves from scrap paper, felt, fabric or upcycled materials such as magazines or wrapping paper. Glue the leaves around the photo’s edge on a blank card to form a festive wreath. Experiment with colours and add stars, beads, sequins or ribbon for extra sparkle.
2 Gift wrap and tag
CEWE
Add your special memories onto your pre-wrapped present using CEWE Photo Strips, double-sided tape or small wooden pegs to create a personalised ‘gallery-style’ wrap. Layer photos of different sizes or frame them with decorative paper for extra impact. Use ribbons or trims to secure and display your photos. Finish with festive touches such as bells, stars and foliage, and use one photo as a unique gift tag the recipient can keep or reuse next Christmas. Here’s a quick tip! Sheer ribbons let the images shine through beautifully.
3 Crackers
CEWE
Attach small, printed photos of your favourite memories or the recipient to the centre of each cracker using double-sided tape so they’re the main feature. Frame the images with tiny gold stars for an extra festive sparkle or try black-and-white photos for a striking contrast. Add a name tag or small gift inside for a personalised touch and let the receiver keep their photo as a lovely memento after the crackers have been pulled.
4 Baubles
CEWE
Use CEWE’s festive templates and text boxes to print, display, and stick your cherished pictures inside clear, fillable baubles, then add stickers, ribbon, or any decorative details you love on the outside. You could even include a second photo so it can be seen from both sides or a few festive accents inside too. And voilà, your tree can beautifully showcase your most treasured memories.
5 Wreath
CEWE
Attach mini photo prints around a wreath base using small pegs or tape, mixing different sizes or colours to create a collage of special memories. Wrap the base with ribbon or a decorative trim to add texture, colour and a festive touch. You could also clip photos onto star garlands or tuck them under the ribbon for variety. Once complete, hang your wreath somewhere indoors for everyone to admire – but keep it away from fire and naked flames!
Whether you want to personalise your Christmas presents, your festive home décor or your party decorations, CEWE Photostations can be found on most high streets and are ready to help you make the ordinary, extraordinary.
