instructions
  1. Chocolate Card - 1 Horizontally cut across an A3 sheet of white card, 13cm high, to create a strip. Use a pencil to mark the following measurements on the strip: 6cm, 8.5cm, 14.5cm, 17cm, 23cm, 25.5cm, 31.5cm.
Score and fold at each division, with the 2.5cm sections in a valley fold.

2 Create seven white cards using the template. Score, cut and colour with the pens. The base colour is vanilla. The spotty strips are made using lipstick red and a white gel pen, then caramel and cool grey to create the striped ones. Fold up the bottoms of each panel to create pouches, then punch two matching holes through the front and back.

3 Trace the characters onto each panel using a lightbox and black fineliner. Colour, then add a day of the week to each using the templates. Cut ribbon, 18cm, and thread through the holes from back to front. Place mini chocolate bars in the pouches and tie the ribbons to the front. Adhere six brown card strips, 2.5cm x 6cm, down the card spines and add a larger panel to the section without a day, before securing the panels using double-sided tape.

  2. Cups and Spoons - 1 Trace a girl, two squirrel motifs and a small sentiment, then colour. Cut one large and two smaller circles from brown paper, then stick the girl image to the bigger one and the two squirrel images atop the others. Punch holes to the sides and thread paper string through. Mount onto paper cups using 3-D foam pads, then tie at the back.

2 Place hot chocolate powder, marshmallows and chocolate buttons into cellophane bags, tie tightly with paper string, then put in the cups. Paint four wooden spoons, two spotty and two stripy, using red and white acrylic paint.

3 Once dry, cut out a hot chocolate phrase from the pattern pages, fold in half loosely, snip a triangle from the end and insert over a spoon. Trim a circle, 2cm, from white and colour grey. Stamp on a snowflake using white paint and add white dots using a gel pen and leave to dry. Mount over the flag using a foam pad. Varnish the spoons if they are to be used.
