Inspired by historic flooring tiles, terrazzo effects are all the rage right now and very easy to create! Originating from the Italian town of the same name, terrazzo features chips of marble, quartz, glass or similar that are set in concrete and polished, creating random patterns of shapes. In Amanda Walker’s project, polymer clay is used to create a similar look, with bright colours against white, muted backgrounds.
