Crafts Beautiful Magazine

The detail involved with papercutting might seem daunting to newbies but follow this method using tracing paper and you will be snipping your way to perfection. You don’t need a lot of supplies to get started, most of the items you will already have in your craft stash. I’ve taken inspiration from the beautiful butterflies dancing around the flowers in your garden for this month’s masterclass. The images can be as simple or elaborate as you wish. I’ve illustrated some simple versions for you to trace and introduce you to this lovely technique. The key to successful papercutting is a sharp knife, time and most important of all, patience. It can be quite time consuming depending on the intricacy, but it is still a very relaxing craft that produces stunning results.
