Know someone who's an avid camper? Then you need to make them this greeting!

What you need...
  • Fabric, cotton: various patterned and plain
  • Card, white
  • Paper, patterned, various
  • Ribbon, striped white and pink
  • Buttons
  • Adhesives
instructions
  1. Use our template to create a tent shape, then take a top-folding blank, 13.5cm square, then place the shape on the card so the top of the tent meets the fold line. Using a pencil, draw around the edges of the tent and trim off the excess so the blank matches the template.

  2. Use the template to cut a tent floral yellow fabric, allowing for an extra 1cm around the edge, then make a tent opening from plain yellow. Stick them onto the card, folding the excess around the sides, and leave to dry. Stitch on detail using navy thread. Cover the remaining blank card across the bottom with the leaf print fabric. Set aside.

  3. Using the template, matt a pattern tree top onto a larger plain green one onto card that is bigger than the whole tree including the trunk. Cut a tree trunk from brown fabric and glue in and leave to dry. Stitch the edges, then cut out and set aside.

  4. To make the grass, take a piece of scrap card bigger than you need and cover it with plain green fabric. Stitch detail on using dark green thread and trim out. Fix it along the bottom of the card, allowing for a strip of leaf print to show.

  5. Adhere ribbon onto the grass using foam pads. Create a message and mount it onto the card with foam pads. Make a fabric flower, then glue it and two buttons along the ribbon to finish.
