  1. Necklace - 1. Attach a toggle clasp to a length of gold-plated fancy chain using jump rings (the chain comes temporarily joined in the centre with a jump ring which can be discarded).

    2. Add jump rings to three mini gold hearts and put to one side. Thread the following beads onto fancy Bali-style head pins: 8mm emerald crystal round, 12mm cream pearl, carved bird, aubergine millefiori round, 8mm amethyst bicone and teal millefiori round.

    3. Attach the beads and charms to the chain as shown. For added decoration, use round-nosed pliers to coil the head pins into spirals at the top of each round bead when attaching. To complete, thread a 8mm emerald crystal round on a head pin and add to the end of the chain, near the clasp.
