Crafts Beautiful Magazine

Celebrate the arrival of spring with Janet Wilson’s delicate quilled designs.

Huskings quilling was first used (and probably devised) during the Georgian period and the technique is an excellent way to make odd shapes that don’t always work when the more traditional closed coils are used. Why not turn these lovely quilled blooms into greeting cards? Friends and family whose birthdays or anniversaries fall in the early part of year would really appreciate them. The snowdrop can also be used as an elegant embellishment for a sympathy or ‘get well soon’ card.
