Nothing says Christmas quite like a festooned conifer, dripping in baubles, tinsel and crackers, sitting atop a stack of presents. Here, Brenda has paid homage to this festive symbol with five gorgeous tree-inspired designs. As the fir is such a recognisable emblem of Christmas, she has cleverly introduced vibrant colours that depart from traditional red, green and gold, whilst still retaining that festive feel. For extra vibrancy, add a few dots of glitter glue or brightly coloured buttons.
Tiny Trees
1. Form a 12.5cm x 15cm blank using green card. Add torn patterned paper across the centre. Print 'Season's Greetings' along the top in blue ink and tie orange satin ribbon around the bottom Punch out four small Christmas trees from orange, green, pink and blue card.
2. Using the round punch, cut four circles in the same colours. Attach the trees to the rounds, making sure each combination uses contrasting colours. Secure the four motifs to the patterned paper with 3-D foam pads.
Gift Tag
1. Punch out three large trees; one in green, one pink and one turquoise. Cut and layer with 3-D foam pads as shown.
2. Mount onto green card, 4.5cm x 8cm, and punch a hole in the top. Thread through orange ribbon. To finish, print 'With love' in blue ink.
