For those who fancy trying something different for the new year, this inventive project will be just the ticket. Talented designer Tracey Daykin-Jones has combined fancy folds, kinetic elements and pop-up surprises with the fab kit to create an amazing selection of greetings that will have you and your recipients gasping with joy! Whether you choose to try one technique or master them all, it's sure to be great fun.

You're Invited

1. Cover the front of a silver blank with pink patterned paper leaving a small border. Trim a long strip of blue card, 4.5cm wide. Score a line 4.5cm down from the top end and a further four creases at 2cm intervals.

2. Cut four 4.5cm squares from blue card. Stick one to the top of the strip then add the remaining pieces to the narrow sections beneath the first, with the top of each square just under the folds to create the waterfall element. Add a narrow panel of blue card horizontally across the card front, securing the ends in place with small brads at either side.

3. Thread the long end of the mechanism behind the horizontal panel and stick the first square to the front of the strip. Trim away the excess length and add a semi circle of contrasting card to the bottom centre or the pulley. Punch a hole through this then thread with ribbon. Die cut four decorative edged squares from white card and stick to the centre of each waterfall panel. To finish, embellish with die-cuts and sentiments.
