Right i finally give up with the robo, me and my robo do not get on! basicly my desk all 5ft of it is a mess!
and i run out of room ( with work material and my craft stuff i dont have much room left) with it always on my desk and plugged in.

Well my poor little robo is now sat looking at me all bare, it needs a new blade and mat etc as im sure i have killed them with using too thick card.

Now i need a little advice, Im wanting to cut out letters and Numbers for cards to personalise them, I would like them to fill a whole card, or a Door plaque etc so need to be able to be flexable in size, would the cricut do this?

MY oh has gave me funny looks when i mentioned it to him as at moment i cant really afford one to be honest , yes it would be super if i could swap my robo ( that has the scrapbooking software with it that you can only get from canada) but i dont think thats realistic lol

I have seen they is the small circut and the daddy of cricut, i think i will stick with the baby!

any advice would be great as to what you can do on it, i know you need to get the carts, but i dont know what you can do with the carts and the machine lol, how thick of card etc will it cut? how big can you cut etc

so any tips will be great

and if anyone knows of anybody that has them really cheap , 2nd hand is fine.

and also sorry to the people who have emailed/messaged me lately and i havnt replied having a bit of a Hair pulling out moment this week LOL

I don’t know much about them, but when I was at Worthing a couple of weeks ago, Oyster Stamps (where I bought my bug) were demonstrating it.

The lady said that it was far easier to set up than the Robo (sales pitch, but she could be right!) I think its slightly cheaper too. The one I saw was about the size of a small printer, and can be used with cartridges or with the PC.

I think the best thing you can do is to get to a local craft fair and see a dem before you decide. Oyster will be at Newbury in July, but if you check out their website, you should be able to find out where else they will be.

My craft robo is sitting in a corner looking at me too ... but only ‘cos I haven’t had time to play with it yet.  Can’t comment on the cricut ... sorry ... but here are some members here who have one and I’m sure they’ll be able to advise and maybe you could ask Santa for one.  wink

Well the first thing i would say to you is WAIT!!!
I am a complete cricut convert (have both the baby and the Expression) and over on the cricut MB there has been lots of chat about an upgrade to the baby coming out in July, this will mean that the baby can do some of the things the expression can do.
I love mine with the expression you can cut out letters from 1/4” to about 24”.
All the different cartridges have different shapes or text on them, the cartridges can be purchased quite cheaply on ebay, i won 1 this morning for £18.50 (the R.R.P is £60!)
The baby comes with 1 cartridge which is very useful and will keep you going for ages before you need to buy another. The expression comes with 2 cartridges whic are also fantastic.
There are a number of websites with great offers on both the baby and the expression.
Pm me if you want another information or have any questions at all!
Hope this was helful smile
