Hi
I've read lots of Val Mcdermid books & always find them hard to put down once I've started them, my OH reckons I'm a bit sick as I love this kind of fiction, serial murders etc another great author is Tess Gerritsen (another lady-what can I say but we know how to tell 'em!) she's a surgeon 'by trade' so gets the details right.
At the mo I'm reading 'The Devils Garden' by Richard Montanari (murders again) you wouldn't think I crafted pretty cards etc would you !!!
Carole

Hvae you tried anything by Mo Hayder? or Lisa Gardner?? goodie goodie good stuff with sprinkles on top!!

Just started The Rose Labyrinth by Titania Hardie. So far so good. i chose it because i loved the Kate Mosse books ( Labyrinth and Sepulchre) and this seemed a similar kind of story. I love books with a bit of mystical and historical connections. i also loved the Kate Morton book i just finished " The forgotten Garden". Definitely recommend all those authors:)

I'm reading a classic, The Return of the Native by Thomas Hardy. Not much free time just now though, so it's going slowly.

I adored the Stephanie Meher Twighlight series which my mum has the whole series of, then discovered she has the full set of Charlaine Harris "Dead" series of which I am up to Dead as a doornail and loving them. Also tried Stephanie Meher's The Host but couldn't for the life of me get into that one. As soon as I finish this series I want to read Charlaine Harris' "Grave" series as looks good but will have to get those from the library.

Failing that I will raid mums bookcase as her and my stepdad have loads of books that I can go through, anything from history, horror, crime, autobiography's and a full set of Wilbur Smith! Great fun.

I love adventures and I've always wanted to read The Lost World (Arthur Conan Doyle) so have started reading that. May take me a while though...not a chick lit type of person.
