If you get stuck christine just shout.  You could also do a screenshot (PrtSc button on your keyboard) save that as a bitmap (if possibe, not sure) then take that into Inkscape to convert to SVG.

Its been a while so I’m getting a little confused though (doesn’t take much, lol) are you using a silhouette with the Studio software?  or are you wanting to convert to use with another cutting machine?

Hi Ruth

I am new to the forum and have just asked a question about the Silhouette Software - how can you easily “cut by colour” if you have several different elements you wish to cut separately - hope this make sense. When I asked Silhouette about this last year they said it wasn’t a feature they had available at the moment.

Love, Avril xxxx

it is not as simple in the robo where it had a cutline setting, but you can choose whether to cut elements or not and also whether they should be perforated, not sure if this is new or not as I was only just looking for this recently.

The silhouette software should work on 7 this is the link:

http://silhouetteamerica.com/software.aspx

I still am in the dark ages and have XP.

I got the latest version of the robo software from here:

http://www.quillingpatch.com/2008/11/16/new-robo-master-for-craft-robo-and-silhouette-will-weld-letters-an-mat/

I have both loaded but tend to use the silhouette software as it is easier to use.

...I got a topic notification as a spammer had replied to a very old post!  and it reminded me to visit, so had a look around the gadgets to see what people were up to smile

Have been generally quiet last year, but back updating the website and also making cards again!  My forum is 10 years old this year and the site older than that smile

you could try dragging them in rather than opening in the silhouette - I seem to remember I was having problems with something.

What does it say when you try and do it?

Carolyn there is quite a lot more I have to do , will add instructions from Graphtec today, not tried it yet though,
you might want to add it to your blog hun smile
The first thing to do is make sure you have the latest drivers. You can find the latest software and drivers at the following link:

http://downloads.graphtecgb.com/craftrobo/ROBOv51.zip

Click on the link above save the file to your PC. Once it has finished downloading right-click on the file and choose ‘Extract All’. When all files are extracted, open the ROBO folder and double left click on the MultiSetup file to start the installation.

Once the software is installed and Robomaster is ran for the first time, you will need to set the correct CraftROBO model before you will be able to output to the CraftROBO. You can do this by opening Robomaster, going to the File menu > Preferences and selecting the correct CraftROBO model from the drop down menu marked ‘Cutter Plotter Model’.

After this is done, if the cutter is still not working, you may need to manually associate the driver with the device (this happens a lot with vista and Windows 7) by following the steps below:

Make sure the CraftROBO is plugged in and switched on and go to the start menu, right click on Computer and choose properties. Once the system info window appears, choose device manager from the top left corner.

Once you have Device manager open look down the list for a section marked ‘other devices’ and press the [>] next to it and you should see your Graphtec machine. Select the machine, right click and select ‘update driver software’. When the Update driver window appears, choose ‘Search Automatically for updated driver software’ and Windows should associate the driver for you.

that is good news, you will be churning the stuff out now smile  So much on the silhouette site too.  We went to Boston just before my husbands birthday and loved it, so I bought a 99c cut of Boston and put it onto his birthday card.  Cut it in black and just put on a white card.

Was well worth it - I could never have done it.
