I am soooooo fed up with having to stay in because we are snowbound that I have resorted to some daft knitting. The pattern is achieved by slipping stitches, which means you do not get in a tangle like with fair isle.
Don't ask me what I am going to make with it because I really don't know.

Looks lovely Suzy will be interested to see what it becomes.

Thanks for the suggestion Goose, I could make it into a folk bag with tassels.

Ok so it is probably just me, but I think that is beautiful, rather than "crazy". I thought you were doing freeform knitting when I saw the title.

Thanks for your nice comments, I have decided to make it into a folk type bag with tassels at the side and a plaited handle. I found some bright yellow silk lining fabric when I was looking for something else so that will do nicely.
