I’ve told him and he just gave me the ‘i cant leave you alone for 5 minutes’ look that he gives the kids!  he’s ok with it though i think he’s more worried about the bedroom filling up with sewing stuff than anything else

Well done that is a briliant price for an amazing machine, i inherited a Singer 99k from my great grandma and how thankful i am. This machine is a total work horse, it works so well sewing curtains to denim to satin silk, i’m sure you will learn to love this machine. I have had mine for 15 years and will never let it go even tho my mum bought me a Bernina i still love working on my singer 99k.
Enjoy it and run with any design adventures as i doubt it will ever fail you x

i picked the sewing machine up today and i am already in love! its just perfect! i think the OH was a bit shocked at how nice it was, especially when he saw all the feet that came with it, i tried to explain what they were all for but i didnt have a clue about some of them!  ive bought loads of new fabric today so im probably going to use it constantly over the next few weeks and not put it in the attic as he orginally thought!

That looks lovely Debsh.  It looks just like the one I have stashed away somewhere - probably still at my mum’s.  Hope you have fun with it! smile
