Here is an outdoor one I did recently.

One thing I’ve learnt, is to put a small rummage box of cheap (£2 each) childrens stretchy bracelets at low level at the front of your stall.
Encourage children to dip in and have a look.

Keeps sticky fingers off your proper stock, stops you stressing that they are damaging things, keeps the mums happy so they can browse as the little uns look in their own box, and the mums and dads are often happy to spend £2 on a little something if the child has been good while they look!!!! Win, win situation!!!!

.........  George Clooney, for those quiet moments!  But seriously, I think everything that has been listed above just about covers it.  I always make sure everything is priced up the night before.  Never wear anything that isn’t your own jewellery - that’s the one piece everyone will ask about!  LOL

I’d take Johnny Dep, lol

My first craft fair all I took was my jewellery and wall art, it was only when I saw everyone elses tables, I thought Oh dear I look like such a newbie…Now I know to take a nice table cloth, and tiers to mount items not only does it raise your items to grab peoples attentions but mounting upwards means you have more area space. I also now have a leaflet/business card holder too that sits in the corner.

Good luck Crafty magpie with the craft fairs….before we moved to our present address (3 years ago)...I used to have a table for my crafts at the Art Society exhibitions (I used to belong) and usually did very well…I had painted plates, notelets (a bit old hat nowadays), but people loved my cards…..and occasdionally people would ask me to make special cards (I write poetry too), so personalised verses were welecome…...One lady regularly asked me to makeher “dspecial cards” which could be made to suit the recipient etc. With those you can charge quite a good amount…..often people would give me more than asked….Unfortunately since we moved home I have no art gorup near by, no longer drive and have been stuck for where to sell my cards and paintings….still, perhaps it is time to not work so hard on things…......

Did go into a charity shop the other day and found a whole box full of little containers with glass beads and findings, ear ring mounts and wires for beading etc…..about a shoe box size full of bits and pieces…..they only wanted £2 for the lot, so guess what I shall be making soon…............Having given most of my beading stuff away I guess that particular hobby is going to be renewed.,

A good friend and I take part in craft markets from time to time. I feel like we try and present our jewellery well as much as possible, just because visitors and future customers like to see a bit of colour. A table cloth or interesting piece of fabric is always good just so you can hide boxes and belongings under the table.

One time we were super nice and had some free shortbread on our table with simple business cards & info. That certainly incised people haha.

The etsy blog has a really good article about tips when selling at craft markets. It has some good ideas. Also if you haven’t checked out the website already, then I’ll warn you now and tell you that it’s so easy to spend a few hours on it!
