Sorry to hear you think £7 is expensive for a stamp.
Maybe you are forgetting how many time you can use a stamp,
and maybe you are forgetting just how versatile they are!! there is so much you can do with one stamp.

How do you prefer to decorate your projects?

I’m just a bit mean when it comes to crafting supplies, I just buy cheapy £1 stamps in the sales wink I also refuse to pay 70p for a sheet of paper, it may be beautiful paper, but in my eyes it is still a piece of paper!

I used to be the same about stamps! wot ? 6 quid for a piece of rubber?! I then saw what was being made with them,so I gave in and bought a tilda, then some sugarnellies! I don’t actually know how many stamps I have to be honest. Its great say joining a swap ,and the theme is say floral? I can just pull out a stamp and away I go!!  Yes it is off putting when you say £ 4.50 - 7 a pop but honestly they are worth every penny!

I use craftsudo.co.uk in fact I have just again ordered this afternoon from them.
I got an order at the beginning of the week from them, but as I was looking for something I emailed them last night and there was an email there this morning from them, I have sent in an online order.
Spend £10 and P&P;free in UK

I have used them a few times.

I’ve ordered a few times from artymiss.co.uk, as they have some great special offers and promotions, and I’ve always been pleased. Most times delivery only takes a couple of days, but sometimes they have huge promotions when it can take a bit longer, but they always warn you if that’s going to be the case. P&P;is £3.95, which isn’t great, but the low prices on most things more than make up for it smile

I always thought artymiss to be slightly overpriced myself-yes there are some good bargains, but I can’t tell you the amount of times I looked at something on there and thought so & so do that cheaper.I’v only ordered twice and I always tried to go for the £10 free shipping offer-I havent ordered since they hiked the price,so I can’t comment on the current delivery times

Hmm, then maybe we look for different things? I nearly always home in on special offers and clearance items. My last order from them included -
English Paper Co. 6x6 pads for 99p each
Dovecraft 12x12 paper packs at £2.49 each
150 sheets of K&Co;. 12x12 paper plus 6 sticker sheets at £14.99

I’d be really interested if you do know of any suppliers that can beat those prices. I do always try to search before purchasing, but personal recommendations are nearly always better smile

Those EP Co were end of range -nearly every retailer was throwing them off at that price—got them when first reduced with another seller
Dovecraft-again end of range papers with new stock coming they had to be shifted—got mine from now closed first class crafts, and have picked up a few more since at 1.49 or less
K&Co;150 sheets -not really a K&Co;person to be honest! Prefer basic grey, daisy ds’ doodlebug etc and have bought and do buy from various sellers

Madaboutcards are usually cheaper with the ‘exclusives’ that AM claim to have-honestly you might not think its a lot but AM do hike up prices somewhat!!

I source my buys to the ends of the earth-every store newsletter thats going I’m signed up for-I’m nosey ,resourceful and somewhat of a scrooge ,I know it always seems like I’m buying somethng but I stretch those pennies and nearly always have a ‘rollover’ from the previous months crafty stash cash!

Oh, I’m fully with you on the scrooge mentality, LOL, I actually appreciate things more if I feel I’ve got a bargain wink When I was looking, I didn’t find anywhere cheaper, but I’m always willing to listen to advice, especially if it means saving some cash (or, more usually, getting extra stash for the same amount of cash ;P)
I knew the cheap ranges were discontinued, but everywhere else I looked was still charging quite a lot more than the prices at Artymiss, even eBay, which I love for bargains.
Madaboutcards looks interesting, but they and Artymiss are charging exactly the same amounts for the new Papermania ranges, and the Colossal 6x6 paper packs are on special offer at Madaboutcards for £3.99 (regular price £4.99) and at Artymiss for £3.35 (that is the regular price)
Sorry, but it seems a little odd to accuse Artymiss of hiking their prices and then recommend somewhere that charges even more.  Obviously I haven’t fully explored Madaboutcards, but I looked up their special offers page and then simply started comparing. The Craft Tonic card packs are cheaper at MAC (on special offer at £4.49, and at Artymiss the special offer is two for a tenner, but they do have a much wider choice of packs)
However, I’m about to dive in to the MAC site and really look around at everything, so wish me luck, bargain-hunting is always fun smile

I have found a few really good sellers on ebay.

It depends what you are looking for, but at the moment I can buy sizzix and cuttlebug dies from the US (including postage costs) far cheaper than what I can get them for here in Australia in stores and on ebay! Although I do tend to buy more than one thing from each supplier to combine postage costs. Many of the dies are selling so cheaply in US that even with the overseas postage they are still a real bargain.

I usually have a list of the items I am after and work out how much they cost each to buy in the stores, ebay in Australia and ebay overseas. That way I can work out the cheapest option beforehand and how much I am willing to pay up to come bidding time.

It does depend what your looking for! Honestly truthfully I’ve had about 4 orders from MAC -all when they run the specials at the end of the month! Glad to hear someone understand the scroodge mentality!! LOL I suppose its half a dozen of one and six of the other right? as long as we get our bargains-who cares where!! LOL

I throughly recommend Bead Addict:

http://www.beadaddict.co.uk/uk/index.htm

I needed some sterling silver snowflake charms for some wedding jewellery I’m making for a friend, needed 4 charms but BA’s site said they only had 2. I emailed asking when they would get more in, I soon had a reply say that they had managed to find 4 for me and would hold them for 24 hours. Excellent customer service and very fast delivery as well.
