I love to knit and spend quite a few of my evenings knitting. There is a local knitting group at the knitting shop, but it is aimed more towards beginners and it is quite expensive to go (I think). I was wondering if there are any other knitters in the area? Would it be rude of me to set up another group in the area? How much do people normally expect to pay for a knitting club?

Any thoughts from people would be much appreciated x

I am sure you will be thrilled to know a new club is being formed in Dereham

Called the Norfolk Knitters it is a group that will be meeting every 3rd Thursday of the month at 2pm. There will be a minimum donation of £1.00 to cover heating and refreshments.

Designed for knitters of any standard, we will get together to share knowledge and experiences whilst knitting for charity under the auspices of RSVP (The Retired & Senior Volunteer Programme)

If you want further details let me know.

Hi Jenny,
I have being looking for a contact to this group - I remember seeing a article concerning the
group - I clipped it out of the paper - then lost it.
I have 13 bin bags of knitting wool to donate to the club - are you happy to accept this for
your charity? All the wool is new and a mixture of plys - these come from my late mother's
stash or rather hoard of wool.
We live in Fakenham - but visit Dereham once a week (Mondays) so could drop the wool
off.
Perhaps you could advise?
Kind regards
