you lucky thing having a hand crank machine i want one. I am lucky my hubby is an electrician so he would be able to check electrics over on any machine. I shall remember who to ask then if I get stuck joanne x

i have an old singer, its a singer 222k featherweight (its called a featherweight but it weighs a ton !!!) mine isn’t going at the moment it needs to go to chingford to be serviced. i inheritated mine from my mums neighbour over 6yrs ago before i learnt to sew using a machine and there was a couple of times especially when my daughter was born that i thought about sticking it on ebay - and had it not of weighed so much i may well have sold it but i am so glad now that i kept it and can’t wait to get it going again at the moment i have my mums toyota just till mine is up and running i can’t attach a photo at the moment as i don’t know how to resize my photo but will get OH to do it for me when he gets in

Well done on your purchase Joanne, she is a beauty and in good nick too.
Those old machines seem to hold some sort of magic from the past.
