Can anyone tell me where to find a pattern for fishermans rib knit jacket/jumper for child (7/9yrs). All I find is the cable style and this is not the same. My sister knitted these rib style for her girls in the 60/70s and these knits have been requested for their boys now!! Apparently they were quite soft and stretchy. Plain one row and knitting into lower stitch/purl going back. I have searched Charity shops, searched the internet and asked in shops - all to no avail.

Hi Izzy! Welcome to the forum. I've found a pattern for a fisherman's rib jumper free on line. It's from Carnival Yarns & comes in sizes 55 - 70cm chest ( ages 2-8yrs). Type fisherman's rib jumper childs into google & it's at the top of the page. We'd love to see the finished jumper when it's done .........Happy knitting !
