I know this is not a book but software but I could find a thread. Anyway if you are into scrapbooking and computers this is a great way to combine the two. I do the regular scrapbooking but found that I was running out of space ( need it for storing my stash of beads) anyway was given a software package called
Digital Scrapbooking Artist from Serif. Wow. It is so easy to use. I am fairly confident in using a computer but have never tried digital scrapbooking so was a bit unsure on how to do it. All I can say is if you have never tried it give it a go there is hundred of sites who offer the pages, elements, backgrounds and layout tips and offer digital kits for not a lot of money most designers also offer free kits. I have already managed to build up a large collection ( mostly free) but also have purchased some. I love it you can mix and match and the beauty is if you cannot get out easy this is a way of fixing your addiction in a hurry. you dont have to wait for products to arrive once downloaded you can start straight away . Have included a pic of my recent work (currently working on an album for my parent's wedding anniversary) I used the software to design a personal cd cover of music to be played at the party. What do you think?

That is great! what a clever idea to play the music you plan to put on the cover of the album!
Glad you are enjoying it x

Sue- thats a lovely page- looks like the software is well worth it. I've recently been trying to teach myself Photoshop (oooh i need a much bigger brain!) and love digital scrapbooking. I'm still a 'normal' scrapbooker but think I'm going to favour hybrid layouts so I can add little bits to the pages and still feel like I've crafted! Good luck with it- which sites have you been to- my favourites are www.designerdigitals.com and www.twopeasinabucket.com. which are yours? x

That is lovely - something I have never had a go at. I do have a quick article on my site about it that a 'seasoned' digi scrapbooker has written for me - including a free download.

I had a book out from the library called paper pixels and it was a lovely easy to follow book - well worth a look.

I have the software too I was bought the upgrade for my birthday but you can download a limited version for free. There is a huge array of freebies out there that you can use in the software. You can also create your own digi kits so that piece of paper you never want to use can be scanned in and used hundreds of times. I have tried paper scrapping but I seem to get on better with the digi version. I will try to attach a pic of one of my layouts.

Now dancing around the room cos I got it attached and you can see it easily. The paper and the font are freebies from Daisytrail(Serif's website for the software), I cut the picture out using cutout studio which is only in the full version but I really didn't want my DD's very pink bottom sticking out in the corner of the picture!! grin
