Well you may be surprised to read that this thread is not the usual "iiiiitttt'ssss hheeeeerrrreeee" thread which proclaims with unfounded joy the arrival of issue 21, no way José, not by a long shot.

Yes people hard to believe I know, but today JULY 3RD I received issue 20, which I'd say would make it a new record for late delivery on the subscription service WHICH WASTED NO TIME AT ALL TAKING THE FULL PRICE OF THE SUBSCRIPTION OFF MY CREDIT CARD (yes, you could say I'm a little annoyed!)

Would be interested to hear if anyone else can beat this deplorable service.

I'm thinking that is a terrible service! I didn't take out a subscription because of th extra cost of getting it sent to the ROI and the OH said he could pick it up from England for me on the day it came out. I'm glad I opted for the OH delivery service - much faster than yours!

You have my sympathies mad I bet there's not a chance of you getting the August one on time either...... Are they shipping it to Australia first???

I like that Su2ie, maybe its taking a round the world trip on the way to Ireland. The same as Jennifer (Dietgirl) I got my July issue today. I thought it was a good idea to have the subscription, that I'd be sure of getting every issue. If only I knew then what I know now, I'd never ever take out a a sub for it, and definitely wouldn't advise anyone else in Ireland to either. The May issue was in the shops on 9th April, I got it on 27th April. The June issue in the shops on 8th May, I got it on 25th May. But July really takes the biscuit, in the shops on 12th June and I got it today. And as yet there's no proper explaination as to why?? The latest culprit appears to be the Irish Postal Service (An Post). I know they may not be perfect, but everything else gets here and definitely doesn't take this long. It'll be interesting to see what happens with the August issue!!

I'm looking forward to sitting down with a coffee to read it later!!

I really don't understand it with An Post because as you say everything else from England arrives pretty quick, 2-3 days for most of my stuff anyway.
I guess I'm lucky as my fella goes to England about 3 times a week and his service is definitely much better.
Do you both think its worth talking to one of the team on here? Just a thought although if it is the postal service, what can you do?

Hi Su2ie, Lorraine and I have done that already. Been e-mailing Daniel Eales. He's 'looking into it'. Interestingly the mags are not sent from the UK but France!

I stand by my original theory that the subscription service is one month behind because.... subscribers are supposed to get their copy a week before it hits the shops, which means today would have been bang on time for issue 21 - onl problem is we're still on issue 20.

Think I'll start a new thread advising new people not to subscribe if in Ireland, it's too disappointing every month!!

I was trying to get my OH to subscribe for me at his mums address in England to stop any problems but our current arrangement seems to work fine.
Definitely sounds like the prob is either An Post or the French postal service. I wonder if there are any other Irish subscribers who are having the same problem but don't come on the forum?
