Well done on getting it Jules cheese

I’m trying to justify getting a cuttlebug myself, so I’d be glad of yours and anyone elses opinion on it. Also it sounds like I can use any brass embossing stencils I’ve got with it, have I got that right? Does it take other dies too?

I think (if I understand it correctly) that you can use most makes of dies in the Cuttlebug.  That was one of the strong selling points when it came out.

As for the embossing stencils, yes I believe you can use them.  Not sure if you need some sort of adapter or anything though.

I will let you know how I get on with mine when it arrives (fingers crossed for tomorrow!)

Will just have to wait and see when it arrives.  I will nip to the local craft shop if it doesn’t grin

Have a read here. Very helpful info. Just scroll to the bottom of the page. There are several posts on the cuttlebug and brass dies.

I just got my bug today! Apparently you can use a plumbers rubber gasket sheet with the brass stencils.
