Here's my entry for the challenge grin

I had 40g of my famous vivid pink yarn left so I just had to use it for this and as you can see from the pics there's still plenty left!

Lot of firsts here for me as I made a chart to work from for the beads and then added the beads using the crochet hook method as featured in July issue of LK. Never done either of these before smile

Well done girlies!!
Susie - No wonder your fingers have blisters. Well done for making your own pattern too & for trying something you've never done before grin
Sharon - lovely girlie bag in girlie colours.
Still not sure about my entry but did sort of have an idea at 2.30 this morning!!!!

Thanks Buzy & Sharon - it was so simple to do (apart from the blisters!) and I did another narrower one last night with a simpler bead pattern in blue. They don't take very long to knock up at all cheese

And Buzy 2.30am for inspiration?? LOL

Well Buzy I had thought to do something like a coffee cup cozy but then I thought it would look better as a headband a very practical as Ellie's hair is always falling in her eyes cheese

Oh and obviously as I was writing my own pattern it couldn't be something too complicated grin

Hi emmilou, do have a go! cheese You've got exactly 4 weeks from today until the closing date, so plenty of time to decide which idea to go for and go for it. If you're worried about time being short and are a slow knitter like me, then try something small or go for thicker wool. I discovered the joys of how fast chunky knits up last month and can't wait to try something else in it! cheese

There are some fantastic knitty makes here. I don't have the patience for knitting large items so most of mine tend to be from one ball or less anyway. I thought I would enter this scarf, my first attempt at lacey stitches (I had to look them up as I went along). The flower is knitted first and then the scarf until the ball is used up or its as long as you want. I sewed a brooch back to the flower so it can be removed and worn seperately.

Absolutely fabulous!!! Well done everyone! Dont think I'll be able to compete with these lovely knits. I'm still unsure about the rules. Do we have to create a pattern or can we use a commercial one? If we can use a bought pattern do we have to adapt it or personalise it?
