Hi Guys

Does anyone make boxes on here because I was looking for some easy but fab looking designs to do….I’ve googled box templates and found a few I like but they never tell you what card to use or the best ways to secure it.

Hiya hun,

Hmm, boxes.  What size / type are you looking at?

I make boxes using my scoreboard.  I make them for my bookatrix egg cards amongst other things.  I use 300gsm card for them usually, although you can buy heavier weight box card now.

As for securing it, well some use double sided tape, some use glue and hold sides together with pegs as it dries.  Personally I use my beloved glue gun, strong, and dries super fast.  Just remember to removed the stringy bits! LOL

I got a book of 40 boxes plus embellishments to make, by Kay&co;, they look gorgeous but not had time to try them yet, they were just £9.99 at the craft fair, was well chuffed. xx

It depends on the style of the box, but as Devonbunny has already mentioned 300 is a good start. For the noodle boxes I printed from here
http://www.packagetech.com/chinese-takeout-boxes.html
due to their small size and the way they are constructed 180gsm was just fine. For securing these I have used eyelets, brads, glue, and even ribbon.

One thing to remember is the larger the box, the heavier the card will need to be.
