I am a Needle felfting nut
There was no topic I could see for it so I posted a new one : )
You may have seen the Crafts Beautiful demonstration on you tube but if you haven’t it is a technique where you sculpt with wool (unspun) wooltop, using a barbed needle to form the shape desired. You can see examples of my Animals and bears on my Gallery page and commission page in my website
attached is a picture of a recent commission Flynn the Cairn Terrier : )

That is so cool! I think I saw something similar on the Martha Stewart show once.

I have only heard of it recently, and also saw the method as a way of joining felted piece together - such as felt flowers cut with a cuttlebug onto a bag

Hi Julie,
What a wonderful little dog. I have got the bits to have a go but have only done wet felt before so am unsure where to start with this.

Thanks again to kind comments, Zheena check out the youtube video it will show you where to start, My cairn terrier is not on a pipecleaner skeleton though. it really is only your imagination that limits what you can do with it, i have seen vases,huge dragons and more.  This is a bear i have on ebay I made his honey pot from polymer clay.

grin His snout actually fits into the honey jar, i was tempted to put a picture of him with his snout in there (it made me giggle to see it )If i haven’t deleted it i will put it on later.
