Hi all. The reason I have been absent from the forum for the past week is because I spent any spare time in the evenings making this cross stitch pot stand, as it had to go in the post by yesterday.  It is cork backed and heat resistant so you can stand a teapot etc on it.  I think it is the first cross stitch I’ve ever completed except for little ones that go on cards.

The first pic is the pot stand made up and the 2nd pic is the cross stitch on its own.  Thank you for looking grin

Thank you all so much for your lovely comments.  The reason it took me so very long (two weeks or more of spare time!) to complete was partly because i am a slow needlewoman anyway but also the aida fabric was a really tiny count - 28 I think - so the stitches were really tiny and tight packed together.  Was so pleased I got it finished in time though grin

That’s lovely Chris, well done!  Where did you find the pot stand if you don’t mind me asking?  They’d make super presents.
