Has anybody tried the Crafter’s Companion Rock-a-Blocks? If yes, what do you think of them? I heard somewhere that you can also use them with acrylic stamps without needing to use their spray adhesive, but would be interested to hear your opinions prior to spending so much money.
Hi there Heike,
I saw them at the SECC and even got to ‘do’ one on the demo table.
They appear to come in three different sizes - all quite small and at the moment only available with the stamps in the set.
That is probably OK if you like the set of stamps as well.
It feels like you cannot over press and catch over-inked corners, so might be good from that point of view.
I am deferring at the moment because I have spent a lot on craft goodies lately.
But they appear to work well.
They are supposed to be compatible with other clear stamps, but I don’t know how universal that is.
The QuicKutz Rockers have actually been on the market for a while. But the idea is actually brilliant, as they are amongst the current Docrafts offers. So I will try them first. If I want then larger sizes, I can still go for the Crafter’s Companion options.
I did not see the QuicKutz Rockers at our local stockists on Saturday, but have found them on a website I am using regularly. And the order is already placed ...
I have the crafters companion version and I love them. You can use all different types of stamp with them, some don’t need the spray which is also brillant if they are already sticky, I have taken all my stamps that fit off wooden block and foam backing which has created a lot of space. They have just brought out a really big version which means I will be able to take even my biggest stamps off the blocks. I am able to stamp straight onto the front on a card or project knowing I will get a good image. Fiona who as you may know is only seven is allowed to stamp with them as they are very robust and she gets a perfect impression with them as well. I told you I love them
l have a set of 4 Rock-a- Blocks l bought them to go with the Cute companions mice stamps that were very popular last christmas…l have used them loads and l love them,l find them easy to use…..l did´nt by the sticky spray…l just use double sided tape, which works well for me…..good luck…X
I love this product, when I got my set I got a set of 4 different rock-a-blocks. Now I don’t have any ink mistakes, it didn’t take me long to get use to how to use them. I like this better then the clear blocks. My fingers are ink free….(LOL)
I haven’t got them yet but they are on my wish list after having a go with them at a demo recently. I found them easy to work with and no smudges. My grandaughter was with me at the time and she also stamped a smudge free image.
Have never seen the QuicKutz ones so can’t comment on them.
Let us know how you get on with them.

Well, the QuicKutz Rockers arrived around a week ago and I have had the Rock-a-Blocks since Friday. I absolutely love them. They are brilliant with clear stamps and so much easier to use than acrylic blocks. I have been stamping for years, but can still see an improvement in the quality of the stamped images.
Why oh why did I wait so long until I got them????
