Hi everyone,

Most of you are passionate about both knitting and crochet but if you had to pick just one, which would it be? Have your say and the results will be published in the mag

For me, it’s a tough choice but I think I like crochet just a tiny bit more. Having said that, my favourite project in the current issue is the knitted penguin… hmm, it’s a tricky one!

3.75mm needles should be used throughout this pattern.

Knit one wing side A in green and one in white. Similarly, knit one wing side B in green and one in white.

crochet dress

The current issue of LGC has a picture of a super cute looking baby dress on the front. Am I right that it’s crochet? Does anyone know of any similar patterns to knit something like this?

Ive been loving issue 37 well i love every issue its the last one i had to buy from the shops as hubby got mr a sub for xmas bless him, anyway december was a hard month for me due to losing family members and others being so ill and me being very bad and struggling but im battling my way back out of the darkness and keeping as strong as i can,

anyway as soon as i got issue 37 i just had to make myself a headband and then another so i have one in blue and one in red now theyre fab, I did find i had to do three repeats less than was started, piccies will follow later, anyway as i flicked the pages i then had to cast on and make the scissors pouch and the needle book which are super. Im also making the house too.

Now that Tanya has left the LGC ship, I am delighted to fill her deputy editor shoes and have moved across from Let’s Knit magazine. I’d also like to introduce new team member Gabriella, she’ll be along shortly to say her hellos too!

PATTERN CORRECTION: issue 35 Cosy Socks p22-23

Unfortunately we have become aware of several errors in this pattern. We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience caused.

Turn left heel should read as follows:

Row 1: p1, p2tog, p1, turn
Row 2: k3, turn
Row 3: p2, p2tog, p1, turn
Row 4: k4, turn
Row 5: p3, p2tog, p1, turn
Row 6: k5, turn
Row 7: p4, p2tog, p1, turn
Row 8: k6, turn
Row 9: p5, p2tog, p1, turn

Turn right heel

Row 7 should read as follows: k4, skpo, k1, turn

Instep

Start at the right heel and reverse the decreases, eg
Row 3: k17, skpo, k20, k2tog, k17

Row 5: should read k16 at the end, not k6

After Row 9 work as folls:
Keeping to stripe patt work two more decrease rows as set until 46 sts

At the end of the pattern, you should cast off 16 sts, rather then graft the toe.

LGC32 Pattern Correction: Tea Cosy

Hi everyone!

I just wanted to let you know about a pattern correction that has come to our attention.
In Let’s Get Crafting 32 on page 36 there is an error in the tea cosy pattern.

Shape Top
Row 1: (k3, k2tog) rep to end of row
Row 2-4: As Row 1
This should read work 3 more rows
This means that you would continue working in stocking stitch without decreasing.
Continue from Row 5 in the magazine as stated.

You will also need to sew both sides from the Cast On edge to just above the double rib, not the Cast Off edge as stated.

Another make for the girlies

Here’s another fab pattern that i just love from lgc mag…Ive made so many of these in lots of colours and theyre so fadst and easy to make and the girls love em,

I made these last week, jade had asked for another one for school as she’s shooting up so fast, and so i made her one in the school colours and ive also made a new one for my niece celeste who has got a gorgeous new outfit and needed an accesorry to go with it so i made her another headband.

Hope you like them, also got some xmassy ones to make for them and some holloween ones too, as we have 2 birthdays holloween so we have a themed party but the kids dont go trick or treating as i dont agree with it.
