        I have painted for years, sold landscapes, flowers etc..at exhibitions..tried most topics but am now trying to paint portraits of the family....any recommendations for good instruction books...I have watercolours, acrylics..inktense pencils and blocks....inks etc. so have a variety of media, but need to get out of that comfort zone and try something different.

        I would really like to recommend this one. It's by Diane Crane and it's lovely and simple to follow with really clear close up photographs. There are all sorts of projects from the simplest to the most complex looking, and all wonderful. Especially impressed by her magician ones...amazing!

        the book is called crochet unravelled  by claire bojczuk and I find it really simple to follow.have made 3 squares already .it gives instructions and pictures for right handed and left handed.hope this is of use to folk who are finding it difficult like me.

        I bought the most lovely book yesterday about uses for vellum and parchment its called 'new paper crafts' by Marie Browning published by sterling publishing. I got it in 'The Works' , it has some really pretty ideas in it, well worth the £1.99 I paid for it!!!

I'm a real hoarder of craft books! I just can't resist them! However, I have my eye on a few new ones that have been recommended on here, so I'm looking to sell a few that I have in order to fund a new purchase! For each one I sell, I'll donate 50% to Viva, and keep 50% to fund my new purchases!<br />
