Niece’s birthday card

I made this last week as it was my niece’s 2nd birthday on Monday. I couldn’t post this on here until I knew it had been received or my sister would have seen it. For those maybe not in the know, it is Edward from Thomas the Tank Engine as he has a 2 on him! My niece is a mad Thomas fan like Daisy. I drew out a template myself and then paper pieced him in the correct colours. I do like doing these when I have the time.

Paper flower corsage

I’m sorry that I’ve not been too active on the forum of late but illness and shows have kept me away. Today though the sun is shining and I feel much better so, even though the flowers are not yet out I decided to make something from paper flowers to brighten up my day and this corsage is the result.

I’ve put step by step photo instructions on my blog is you want to learn how do do one yourself.

Made this today with the help of my robo for the mum cut out, added a dangly heart to the ribbon
I love the ‘Morning Meadow papers .It is a huge A3 size
my 1st real card done with robo, the green paper is flocked and feels just gorgeous

I was told it was my neighbours 60th birthday a few days ago
so thought it would be nice to make him a card, he is a right joker
so thought mr men would fit the bill ............................wait for it
it was just his 59th, well he went in to hysterics with it and loved it
he is getting a right ribbing now about being sixty, glad he saw the funny side heehee xx

I made the Pink card at the weekend with my new Jungle Animal Stamps Nice and Pink for a little young Lady..

The Black and White ones I made last night the flower one got the better of me, these are Paper cellar papers and MME, They are to top up my card stock, they are handy little cards to have ready

Ok well they are not jewellery but they are sparklies for your feet!

I can tell I am feeling summery when I start hot fixing crystals on clean trainers he he I bulk bought these trainers last summer from a famous chain beginning with P for literally a couple of pounds and do you know they are sooo comfy, I have grey ones I wear all the time I have a pair of 5’s and 6’s left and I am going to make them up to sell!

I also swapped the laces for ribbon

my new machine

hello, just got back from picking up my new machine which is very old but surprisingly in good condition. One of the plates near the needle is missing but hubby going to see if he can make one for me so it’s not dangerous. I have just worked out you fill up your spool how funny I thought it was very out of this world. I stood thee for about ten minutes trying to work it out but because I have had modern machine it wasn’t hard to fathom. I am very pleased with it i am going to try and get it working using a pair of tights as the belt until I get something to use as a belt. I don’t think I would be able to still get a belt for it joanne x
