I have just bought my first soft handle hook, only bought it as the shop was waiting for new stock to arrive and the only one they had was soft handled, , love it as I have arthritis and find I can keep crocheting much longer, problem now is I want to buy more but I also don't like the thought of not using my trusty old ones, sone from my grandmother. Had a look and the packs of assorted sizes in pretty colours, so tempting

Oh Eliza, you may have put a finger on how I can keep my crotchet going...I also have arthritis in the hands and crotchet quite a lot...the soft handled ones sound a fabulous idea...Must look out for those......probably ca buy them on line...will have a look. Mary

Yes. Eliza...I did find some crochet hooks on line. they have a slightly larger handle and flattened on one side to keep the hook from slipping...very comfortable to use..these ergonomic handles are good.....found them on Amazon.

I started off on plastic and it just hurt my hands. I use bamboo now and it is a lot smoother and it's warmer but, I haven't used metal needles before
