Oh Su2ie, you missed a real nail-biter. Oxford started strong and led by 1/4 - 1/2 length for most of the way, then on the last of the bends to their advantage they should have gained another 3/4 length on Cam, but Cam pulled from behind to 3/4 length in front of them!!! Then that was it, they just legged it to the finish line. It was fantastic. :cheese: I do hope your dodgy tummy settles soon.

I've made some Easter / celebratory cup cakes to binge on tomorrow at OH's parent's. Plain sponge, royal icing and 100s and 1000s on top. Some of them are a bit of a funny shape for no particular reason, so we've tested a couple of those, just to make sure they're edible! They are! :-P

OH has now taken over the kitchen to make one of his gorgeous pork and red pepper giant sausage rolls for tea. Woof, can't wait! Goodness knows how he'll manage the sausage meat and pastry one-thumbed, but he's got a determination on him. :)

I'm now chilling to Easter from King's. I do miss being in Cam. Going to a service at King's is like nothing else on earth, especially if you wave a college scarf at the person seating everyone and get to site right at the top by the choir. And I do think their choir is possibly the best in the world.

What a very successful day. I am a happy K&F. :-)

Sounds good K&F :cheese: Hmmm any cakes spare for tonight's party? OH text to say he will be home by 9pm with takeaway - yum! I've asked for duck in orange sauce :cheese:

Forgot to say earlier that when I was in the hairdressers a lovely bloke washed my hair and must have been massaging my head for a good 15 minutes! It was heavenly I can tell you - I felt soooooo relaxed :-P

Right off to get stuff ready for Ellie for bed :-) Hope everyone makes it to the party tonight as a few have been missing online today!

evening all!!!!

well, work was awful! we had a new system - well updated the old system - just enhancements they said, to make our jobs easier they said, wont affect the day to day running at all they said................... PIFFLE!!!!!!!! from 6 am to 8 am all was fine and dandy, from 8 am onwards it was mayhem - first of all you could input a breakdown, then the system would just hang there and you couldnt do anything! still, we got there in the end 4 hrs later all was right again, not what you want on a busy bank hol weekend though. We had great managers in though, and i dont think the people ringing in suffered too much, we got there in the end, prioritised what we could and everyone got seen and sorted.

we've had last nights chilli tonight for tea and HRM has had a day of eating - he had his milk and cereal first thing , then for lunch he had:-

half a bag of fridge raiders

a cheese sandwich

a biscuit

some apple

a fruit smoothie!

needless to say his tea was a little lighter, some raw carrot and fish fingers and his milk up in bed.

i am very excited about the party starting, but i shall be dipping in and out as i have a nights knitting to catch up on, given that we had a 2 hr power cut last night (how rude!)

glad we are all ok and dodging the very large raindrops!
