What do you hate most about knitting?

Recommended Posts

Hmm, good question. I'm not overly fond of the sewing up bit as I'm not a good sewer, plus my brain says I've "finished" when I've cast off the last stitch and conveniently forgets that there's still hours of work left to do sewing it all together.

Erm, I think getting a lacy pattern with yarn overs wrong is my biggest gripe du jour as I did it loads on my cardigan and not once figured out how to unknit it, so had to rip it back every time and start again. I ended up shutting myself away to do those bits in the hope no distractions would equal success!

I hate endless long rows of stocking stitch in 4ply or DK! Also hate trying to get my head around complicated lace patterns :blank:

Jane - I've typed up the instructions for you on one of your other posts :-)

DPNS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Snowflake wool

Sewing features on faces

Starting a project, being tidied up then knitting what you thought was the project you started with to find it a hybrid of several different patterns.

Projects that don't grow quickly (I'm sure the knitting fairy frogs mine)

Is that enough to be going on with?

Oh dear! You can keep the knitting fairy if that's what she does!!! Or use your dpn's in a voodoo ritual against said fairy :cheese:
