CONGATULATIONS TO THE NEW PARENTS AND NEW GRANDMA GOOSE. WELCOME TO THE WORLD LITTLE ANGEL.

    Dear Goose,

What wonderful news. I can not blame you for spending time with the new addition to the family. A child brings love that is so special, strong and unique.A child gives you the best present possible, a family.what is your granddaughter called? It would be wonderful to see a picture of her if her mum doesn't mind.

As for my Hatty the elephant, thank you again for the assistance. I have now completed it, well almost i just have to put it together. I am terrified that i will mess this stage up but i am taking my time and watching many videos so hopefully i will not mess up.

But i will probably back for so advice.

    Take good care

    Many thanks

    Segtree.

  2. Hi

As you can see i have a profile picture up. The screen is still the same as before but im afraid i am rather impatient and was determined to keep trying to get a picture up. After at least twenty attempts i was successful as you can see. But it was still inmensely difficult so please carry on finding a solution. Many thanks for your time

  3. Thank you very much Goose, i have a much better result. Its taken me a awhile as i end up trying to pull back just to that row but then total lost some stitches so i undid the whole thing and i am now back to where i was.

But again i am really unhappy with rows 31-36. I know i have asked about them before but when i look at the picture of the elephant it does match up with the pattern.

My problemis this- rows 31-36:rep Rows 29-30 three times.

    Work in yarn A only.

Now at this moment my front leg has the top where the leg begins is peach then blue

The elephant picture has peach where leg begins then a blue stripe, peach stripe, blue stripe then one more peach stripe is the very last.

Then you have a block of blue which is underneath the leg.

If i do tne next batch of rows in yarn a which is blue it will be odd to the picture. Please could someone explain what im doing??????

I thought i may just work out all this pattern stuff but oh my! -all knitters,Crocheters deserves inmense respect and honour for all you make and understand.

Please if someone could help me i will be very gratefully.

    I cant give up.!

  4. Hi all

I am rather unhappy with the resut of row 27 of hatty the elephant of lets knit magazine issue 76. The row pattern states: p10, cast one st. P to end. 20 sts. Ive done this but its left quite a un natural hole in the knitting. Is this because i casted off one st over two? Or should i cast off one st over one stitch? Many thanks for your help in advance.

  5. Hello to all.

I knew i would be back but i guess that's the joys of being a new- ish kniter. I am once again stuck or rather confused about what the pattern for hatty the elephant in issue 76 of lets knit magazine is telling me to do. It says: Rows 31-36 rep rows 29-30 three times. Rows 29 is p and row 30 is k. My first thought is to knit this- 31 p 32 k 33 p 34 k 35 p 36 k but is my thought right?

I have had to restart this elephant so many time but i am determined to complete this elephant as this will be my first ever knitted toy made by me! So please could someone help me? I am truly gratefully for your time and help.

  6. Photo Editor - HomeCraft Forums.htmHELLO,

PLEASE COULD SOMEONE ASSIST ME? I HAVE BEEN TRYING TO UPLOAD MY OWN PERSONAL PROFILE PICTURE, NOT A GRAVATAR PICTURE, EACH TIME I TRY TO CUSTOMIZE MY PICTURE IT IT TAKES ME TO THE CORRECT CHANGE PICTURE PAGE THE  WORDS OF THE  OPTION TO CHOOSE A FILE HAS THE GRAVATAR LINK OVER THE TOP. PLEASE COULD SOME ONE HELP?

I AM UNSURE IF THE ATTACHMENT ADDED SHOWS MY PROBLEM.

  7. Dear GOOSE

THANK YOU VERY MUCH for our time and for posting the video i am extremely gratefully. I hae now successfully solved the issue of the M1 stitch, i was putting the stitch on back to front but after a lengthy practice its almost perfect. Is there any possibility that you could suggest another video explanin the cast off stitch in the middle of a row PLEASE?!

I am now stuck on this- row 22 k9.cast off two sts. Knit to end, i am still on the same pattern. I truly apperciate your warm welcome to the forums. Thank you again.

-Hi Segtree and welcome to the forum.  The main reason you get a hole is when you just knit the stitch that you have picked up. You need to knit into the back of it.

Have a look at this video and let me know how you get on.

Just ignore the way she holds the yarn as this is a different method of knitting but follow her instructions

  8. Hi, i am incredibly desperate for help with the m1 (make one) knitting stitch, i have tried to do it in different ways via a number of videos found on the web but each time i do it leaves a huge whole in the pattern even though the instructions said it wouldn't leave a hole and it also pulls up th knitting rows so my knitting is unlevel. I am trying desperately to get passed row 3 in the Hatty the elephant yarn kit in issue 76 in lets knit magazine. I am a visual learner as i have a chronic illness that has made some part of my brain interpretative words in a mashed up way, so i struggle with most things. Please, please i reallywould like to make my first knitted toy. Many thanks
